Most of you have probably been able to get back on the road again. It is just going to get better. Make sure you are adding up your miles, so that we can update our trip across the USA.

Meanwhile check out the Lakefair website. We have just provided a moving tour of the new half marathon course. Spread the word, this is going to be a cool event. ontherunevents.com/lakefair

The hill on our course is totally blocked and I will not be able to clear it for several weeks. If anyone is willing, the work could begin by just tossing branches off to the side of the trail. A couple of hours with pruning shears and loppers would work wonders, but a saw is needed in several places.

XC trail report: Totally blocked with a chance of getting smooshed by a tree. All parks are closed as well. Hopefully this will chance by Monday.

Snow Shoes!

I forgot to mention snow shoes! Don’t know if we will have school on Thursday. If we do, I’ll be in the fitness portable after school. Exercise! Just getting out and walking in the snow takes a pretty good effort.

There’s No Business Like Snow Business

So there’s a little snow out there and some more predicted. What are you going to do? XC ski? Walk? Treadmill or? 8 Minute abs? Jog in place in front od the TV? Run through the snow? All of the above?

I attempted to walk through the XC trail this morning and the upper section is blocked at about five places. The only way to get through is to duck walk and barge ahead. Perhaps once the snow is gone the limbs will return to normal – but if not – it’s pruning time.

Only about thirty miles from the South Dakota border. I’m going to a track clinic tomorrow and Saturday, but the Cranemeister will open up the fitness portable.

Capital City Training Group Water Stops

We are signed up for March 3 and 24 and April 14 and May 5. This only requires about an hour or two most mornings. We need an adult for each time we work the stops. The marathon itself is on May 20. We will be receiving $2000- to help all five times.

On the Road Again

We have just pulled into Missoula. If we are to reach our goal we will be needing more runners. Today we had five runners. We need to double that! Spring sports begin on Feb. 27. Will you be ready? I will be there MWF and sometimes Tues. and Thurs.

I will open the fitness room on Weds. Dec. 28 at 3:00. The heat is back on. Speaking of the heat being on: The plan is to re-group with more resolve on Jan. 3, with no excuses.
